Character Info:You are Ben Bruckner, played by Robert Gant on the show Queer as Folk. I'm going to be honest with you, Ben wasn't originally in this game. He was a last minute addition. But I got a couple extra players and I decided I needed an extra mafia member. The theme is shows I've used multiple times before, and by coincidence, all the other mafia members were college aged, as I ran with that as the game setting. Finding a character that fit all these requirements was tough, until I realised I never used Ben before and he is a college professor. He fit all the requirements I needed to be in the mafia. After that, I decided since he is a professor and the rest all students (or at least student aged), it made sense for Ben to be the Don (it was originally going to be Tara). And there we have it. Here you are, mafia Don! Your character was introduced to QaF in the second season but became the love interest (and later, husband) of one of the show's central characters. You are a professor of gay-studies at Carnegie Mellon University and two time author. A smart but not-perfect man, you've managed to overcome a lot in your life (including being diagnosed with HIV) to finally find a loving partner and create a loving family.



Powers: Teaching the Young: You are the Don of this mafia. This means you are in charge of getting the actions in on time. As a bonus, this also comes with the standard Town-cloak to protect you from cops.

Research Required: Any professor knows the importance of doing your research. You are the mafia's information gatherer and role claim provider. Each phase, you may come up with a role claim and ask me if it is a good one or not. I will respond, not only with a yes or no, but with reasons why it is a good claim or not (and I'll even be fairly specific). This information could be vital in providing your mafia with safe claims when the time comes.
